Meet Lisa R. Lowry, MD
Lisa grew up in the Chicago area and attended Loyola University of Chicago, where she graduated with honors and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. With an interest in research, she pursued a Master’s Degree in Immunology and Microbiology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, again finishing with distinction. Missing the more personal daily interactions with people, she set her sights on a degree in medicine, graduating from Tulane University as a member of the distinguished Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha. She and her husband then moved to Houston, attending Baylor College of Medicine, where she completed her training in Dermatology. Dr. Lowry is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and a Fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Lowry and her husband then moved to Tulsa, her husband’s childhood home, where they each were in private practice. Wanting a smaller community for their family which included two children, they relocated to Tyler, Texas. With the children grown now, Dr. Lowry enjoys dog walks through the forest, gardening, riding her horse, painting, reading, and travel.
