Happy October
Happy October!
As many of you are now aware, we are in the process of building out a new office space. My evenings and weekends are filled with reviewing electrical, IT, plumbing, and architectural drawings. (This was NOT taught in medical school!) It’s exciting and nerve wracking at the same time Thank you for your input as well about what features are important to you. I’m happy to report that so far, everything is coming along nicely. Recently a patient asked me if, when I moved, I would just be offering cosmetic dermatology services. That is a current trend now, but that is NOT the path we are taking. We will continue to offer Medical, Surgical, and Cosmetic Dermatology services to all our patients. I love the cosmetic part of my practice. It allows me expression of my artistic side, and is very rewarding when something as simple as a syringe of Filler can boost someone’s confidence and general happiness. However, the relationships I have built with ALL of my patients over the years is such an integral part of my being, there is just no way I can give that up. I am a “patient junkie”. So many of you I have known for years. I know about your family, pets, health, and life challenges. I share in your joys and sorrows. This is the type of practice one rarely encounters anymore, and I count my blessings daily for it. There are some exciting things happening in the dermatology world. On the medical side, new tests and medications help with earlier diagnosis of melanoma. On the cosmetic side, body sculpting and new treatments for cellulite are on the horizon. I will keep you posted! Have a great October!
Warm Regards,
Lisa Lowry
